The NVBA 8th Team came away with a perfect 3-0 record to win their 8th grade tournament in commanding fashion. The first game they played a team from Marin based North Bay Basketball Academy (NBBA) program with players from Petaluma and Rohnert Park, with NVBA winning 55-25 with dominating game speed. In the second game of the day, NVBA played another NBBA team made up of Marin players, and won that game 60-32. In the final game of the day, NVBA’s Napa Valley players competed against the Red Bluff Hotshots and won 48-20, resulting in Championship Tournament Medals awarded to all 8th grade players! Throughout the day the scoring was balanced and the team played strong team defense. The team was led in rebounding by Alex Humer, Theo Branum and "T" Poire. Outstanding defense by Manny Cortez, Nick Elliott-Smith and Tyler Walls, scoring by Sammy Schwartz and Parker Totty, outside shooting by Nathan Graziani, transition offense by Owen Weber, and court leadership by Point Guards Brandon Ho and Dominic Collins, to result in the entire team contributing to each win.
